The Nelson Kootenay Lake Tourism Society is happy to announce the appointment of its new executive director, effective immediately.

Peter Moynes, a long-time Nelson local resident and former publisher of Kootenay Mountain Culture Magazine, took over the position on April 1. He brings with him 25 years of marketing experience in the Kootenay region and was previously a volunteer member of the NKLT board for six years.

“I am thrilled and honoured to have been chosen for the executive director position,” says Moynes. “There is a lot of learning to be done, and I look forward to the challenge and opportunity.
