The Nelson City Soccer League begins outdoor action in early May. Before they can get the ball rolling they need all interested players to get signed up by April 1.
Last season the league had 240 participants spread across three divisions. This season organizers are expecting to have four ladies rec teams, six men’s masters teams and six men’s open teams.
All levels of skill can find a place on a team and a draft ensures everybody takes part.
Games are played on weekdays at the Lakeside pitch.
“It’s a beautiful setting, you get a night out and you get a good run,” says league organizer Sveta Tisma.
This is the fifth season of the City Soccer League. Organizers are looking for new players, so don’t be shy. League play will begin May 2. If you register by April 1, you will save 20 per cent off the fees.
