The Nelson and District Arts Council is thrilled to announce the 35th annual ArtWalk, celebrating all things art in our region.

The first opening night will take place on Saturday, June 24, from 6 to 9 p.m. There are over 20 venues and 45 artists to experience in downtown Nelson and beyond. Opening night will feature performers all around town to entertain you as you wander from amazing venue to amazing venue. Look for stilt walkers, singers, musicians and more.

The second opening night happens on Saturday, Aug. 5, where there will be a complete change of the art that is on the walls. Come out on these nights and support your local arts community. Look for the brochures and posters around town.

There will also be five mini-performance areas around town to entertain the wandering art lovers with their musical performances. All of these are listed on the 3,000 brochures all around town, on website at ndac.ca/nelson-artwalk and on our social media. Keep your eyes peeled for Bessie Wapp on stilts as well.

NDAC wants to thank business owners for participating in ArtWalk and supporting the local arts community. The event populates unique venues with quality, locally produced artwork chosen by the venue operator to fit their walls and business branding.

Both professional and emerging artists will be on display and of course for sale. NDAC is very honoured to be able to work to support artists in a multitude of ways and they hope the community will join them and come out on Saturday to admire and buy some art.
