Robert, Milligan win first Movement is Medicine trail race

Etienne Robert and Courtney Milligan won the first Movement is Medicine trail race to mark National Day of Truth and Reconciliation on Saturday.

The event, a 15-kilometre run up the Lyon’s Bluff trail to the top of Elephant Mountain that then descended past Pulpit Rock and to Lakeside Park, was a fundraiser for the Circle of Indigenous Nations Society.

Robert finished first among male runners in one hour, 43 minutes 54 seconds, while Milligan took the women’s title in 2:04.04.

Ninety three out of 104 runners finished the race.
